Y-791497, 51-1

The section shows a comminuted clastic matrix, composed of angular fragments (grains up to 1.2 mm) of pyroxene and plagioclase. Trace amounts of black materials (possibly, glassy clasts and metal/troilite) are present as small (up to 0.4 mm in size) grains. One orthopyroxene fragment contains large, irregular to tabular augite (up to 0.1 mm in size). Pyroxene compositions scatter widely from Ca2Fe17-Ca21Fe65. Plagioclase compositions are An89-96; few K-rich grains are present up to An95Ab6. The meteorite is a howardite.
