Y-791573, 81-3 The section shows a comminuted matrix of angular fragments of pyroxene and plagioclase (grains up to 1.5 mm) set in a dark clastic matrix. Trace amounts of black and glassy clasts (up to 0.5 mm in size) are observed. One fragment of pyroxene shows a granoblastic texture. Pyroxene composition scatters widely from Ca2Fe15-~Ca44Fe82. Plagioclase compositions are An82-87. The meteorite is a howardite. | ||||||||||||||||
