Rumuruti chondrite (R3-6)

A single stone of 46.5 g was found in 2003 by an anonymous finder in Western Sahara. Classification and mineralogy (A. Greshake): an brecciated type 3-6 Rumuruti chondrite; olivine, Fa13.5-40.5; low Ca-pyroxene, Fs3.7-29.1Wo0.2-4.3; augite, Fs10.5Wo47.2; plagioclase, An8.8-22; low degree of shock; low to moderately weathered. Specimens: main mass with anonymous finder; type specimen 10.2 g plus one polished thin section MNB.
