Achondrite (polymict eucrite)

A single stone of 1905 g was found by an anonymous finder in Morocco. Classification and mineralogy (A. Greshake): lithic and mineral clasts are set into a fine-grained clastic matrix; lithic clasts include basaltic clasts and dark impact melt fragments; mineral clasts are dominantly large plagioclase and augite with pigeonite exsolution lamellae; plagioclase, An89.7 (range An81.3-94.9); Ca-pyroxene, Fs23.1-55Wo6.3-43.9; minor phases include orthopyroxene (Fs57.1), silica, Ti-rich chromite, and ilmenite; moderate degree of shock; low degree of weathering. Main mass with anonymous finder; type specimen 44.0 g plus two polished thin sections MNB.
