Northwest Africa 438 (NWA 438) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2003 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL5) Petrography: Chondrules are recrystallized, but readily discernable. Olivine exhibits undulose extinction, but lacks planar fractures. Chondrules range up to 1.6 mm in diameter. Many metal and troiltie grains are 200-800 µm across.
