Northwest Africa 1095 (NWA 1095)

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5)

Petrography: Some metal grains are elongated and form parts of discontinuous veins. Small grains of metallic Cu are present within some metal grains. Some metal grains contain small, irregular grains of troilite. Chondrules are recrystallized, but readily discernable. Plagioclase grains average ~20 ┬Ám in size. Olivine exhibits weak mosaic extinction. Some low-Ca pyroxene grains exhibit shock-induced polysynthetic twinning.
