Acfer 333 Algeria Found 2001 December 26 Carbonaceous chondrite (CO3) A dark-grey, slightly friable stone broken in 5 fragments and totalling 489 g was found by F. Beroud and C. Boucher. Mineralogy and classification (B. Devouard and J.-L. Devidal, UBP; B. Zanda and M. Denise, MNHNP): sharply defined chondrules from 0.1 to 0.3 mm and rare metal grains; olivine, mean Fa23.2 (range Fa0.7–81.7), low-Ca pyroxene, mean Fs7.4 (range Fs1.1–37.6), W2. Specimens: type specimen, 25.4 g, MNHNP; main mass with finders. | ||||||||||||||||||||
