Lodranite

The section shows a granular texture composed of olivine, pyroxene, Fe-metal and troilite. Grain sizes are typically 0.6-0.8 mm, but several large grains occur (up to 6 mm). Some pyroxene grains have very thin closely-spaced lamellae. Mineral compositions are olivine: Fa6.1-8.7, pyroxene:Wo2.1-4.0Fs6.9-9.6; plagioclase An12.8-16.3.
