Macroscopic Description: Kathleen McBride
75% of the exterior is a rough black fusion crust. The interior is a brown/black matrix with an oxidation rind.

 

Thin Section (,2) Description: Tim McCoy, Linda Welzenbach and Cari Corrigan
The section consists of abundant small chondrules (up to 2 mm), chondrule fragments, mineral grains and CAI’s set in a black matrix; rare metal and sulfide grains are present. Olivine compositions are Fa1-23 and orthopyroxene is Fs3-4. The matrix consists dominantly of an Fe-rich serpentine. The meteorite is a CM2 chondrite.
