Purchased: 2008

Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, polymict)

History: The meteorite was bought in 2008 from a Moroccan meteorite dealer on a mineral fair in St. Marie aux Mines, France.

Petrography: The meteorite is a polymict breccia of lithic and mineral clasts in a fine-grained clastic matrix. Lithic clasts include basaltic and impact melt clasts. Dominant minerals in clasts and matrix are exsolved pyroxenes and calcic plagioclase. Diogenitic orthopyroxene makes up about 4 vol.%. Minor phases are chromite and silica.

Geochemistry: Pyroxene host to augite lamellae: Fs_50.2±0.6Wo_1.9±0.3(Fs_49.5-51.3Wo_1.6-2.6, n=14, FeO/MnO=29-35); Ca-pyroxene: Fs_22.5±1.7Wo_42.4±2.5(Fs_19.6-27.6Wo_35.7-46.4, n=21, FeO/MnO=26-30); diogenitic pyroxene: Fs_32.5±3.6Wo_2.9±0.3(Fs_26.8-40.3Wo_2.5-3.4, n=9, FeO/MnO=34-43); calcic plagioclase: An_88.6±4.7(An_78.1-92.9, n=12)
