Beuste
History (P.-M. Pelé, meteor-center.com): Since at least the 1870s, this fall has been dated to May 1859. However,  an article in the 14 Feb 1856 newspaper Memorial des Pyrénées established that the meteorite actually fell on 9 Feb 9 1856. The inhabitants of Beuste and its surroundings were intrigued by a rustle that lasted several minutes. Dull detonations were heard, and then a luminous trail appeared in the sky. The rumbling lasted more than a quarter of an hour. The light trail seemed to be heading from the southeast to the southwest. A first meteorite of 420 g was discovered on the path that goes from Beuste to Angaïs; a second meteorite of 1.4 kilogram was found 700 meters from the first one.
