Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3)

History: Purchased by Carsten Giessler in 2010 from a dealer in Erfoud, Morocco.

Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Well-formed, fairly closely packed chondrules (apparent diameter 680±350 µm, N = 12) are set in a finer matrix (dark brown in thin section).

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa4.7-26.5, Cr2O3 in ferroan examples 0.03-0.06 wt.%, mean 0.05±0.01 wt.%, N = 5), orthopyroxene (Fs9.2-12.9Wo0.9-1.1, N = 2), subcalcic augite (Fs9.0Wo32.5). Magnetic susceptibility log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.46.
