Northwest Africa 6423 (NWA 6423) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2010 Sep Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CV3) Petrography: Distributed, fairly small amoeboid, granular and some porphyritic chondrules and sparse fine grained CAI in a deep brown, very fine grained matrix (probably diamond and graphite bearing, judging from cutting difficulties and the dark color of cutting coolant water). Some chondrules have reduced rims of almost pure forsterite or enstatite. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
