Find: 2008 Sep 05

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5)

History: This stone was recovered by Robert Verish along the eroded margin of a dry lake.

Physical characteristics: This 5.0 g chondritic stone is a dark-brown, weathered fragment.

Petrography: (D. Sheikh, FSU) Chondrule boundaries blurred (750 μm, N=1). Recrystallized matrix with plagioclase (10-30 μm).

Geochemistry: Olivine, Fa22.47±0.9 (N=25); orthopyroxene, Fs21.78±0.9Wo1.82±0.6 (N=25).

Classification: Ordinary Chondrite (L5)

Specimens: 2.50 grams at UCLA; main mass with Verish.
