Northwest Africa 6469 (NWA 6469) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2010 Aug Classification: Primitive achondrite (Lodranite) Petrography: 85-90 vol.% coarse-grained aggregate (grain size 0.5-3 mm) of olivine and pyroxenes. The remaining material consists of fine-grained (20-200 μm) FeNi, sulfide, chromite, and pyroxene. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa10.6±0.2, n=9; augite Fs3.5±0.2Wo47.5±0.7, n=5; low-Ca pyroxene Fs9.6±0.2Wo2.1±0.6, n=5. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
