Writeuphelp
Writeup from MB 101:

Northwest Africa 6508 (NWA 6508)

Morocco

Purchased: Sept 2009

Classification: Enstatite chondrite (EL3)

Petrography: The rock contains some grains of silica. The opaque phases are essentially all weathered, precluding the identification of niningerite or ferroan alabandite. Chondrules average ~500 μm in diameter, consistent with EL3; most are RP and PP types, although a few POP chondrules occur. Low degree of matrix recrystallization consistent with petrologic grade 3.
