Northwest Africa 6695 (NWA 6695) Morocco Found: January 2011 Classification: HED achondrite (Howardite) Petrography: Wide variety of sizes, shapes and textures among the many clasts. Low-Ca pyroxenes have average FeO/MnO = 29 (25 analyses). Plagioclase, An86-95.6 (n = 8). Many of the pyroxenes are diogenitic, with Wo in the range 2.0-2.7 mol% and Mg ranging from 65 to 77 mol%. Other, eucritic low-Ca pyroxenes cluster near Wo2 and Mg = 36 mol%. High-Ca pyroxene compositions scatter from En44Wo44 to En29Wo42.
