Stone. Ordinary chondrite (H4)

Four fragments of about 20 g were recognized as meteoritic among rock samples collected from the ocean floor near the Clarion fault system. They are highly weathered and olivine and pyroxene are partly replaced by layered silicates, olivine Fa17.6, c.v. 1.5, analysis, N. N. Kononkova, Vernadsky-Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, classification and information, M. I. Petaev, Committee on Meteorites, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ul. M. Ulyanovoi 3, Moscow 117313, Russia.
