Northwest Africa 6821 (NWA 6821) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2010 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3) History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Erfoud, Morocco. Physical characteristics: Light brownish rock with some fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite displays a chondritic texture with well defined mostly rounded and slightly packed chondrules (mean diameter about 0.6 mm) in a fine-grained dark matrix that contains sulfides and FeNi metal. Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3). LL based on magnetic susceptibility. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
