Dhofar 1514 (Dho 1514) 18° 20' 19"N, 54° 23' 22"E Zufar, Oman Found: 2008 Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R3.6) Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS) Unequilibrated chondrite consisting of distinct and fresh chondrules (mostly PO, granular and BO types) plus sparse autolithic clasts set in a stained matrix of related debris. Mineralogy includes olivine, orthopyroxene, sodic feldspathic glass, Cr-bearing magnetite, ilmenite, chromite, troilite and rare awaruite. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
