Northwest Africa 7309 (NWA 7309) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2012 Mar Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CM2) History: Purchased by Gary Fujihara in March 2012 from a dealer in Agadir, Morocco. Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Small chondrules, some mineral fragments and sparse, fine grained CAI in a very dark, slightly stained matrix containing cronstedtite-tochilinite and minor pentlandite. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa0.5-43.9), orthopyroxene (Fs1.2-1.3Wo2.6-0.9), clinopyroxene (Fs4.1Wo39.6). Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CM2). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
