Northwest Africa 7462 (NWA 7462)

Purchased: 2012 Aug

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L4)

History: Purchased by Adam Aaronson in 2011 November in Temara, Morocco.

Petrography: Fresh specimen with well-developed chondrules. Olivine, orthopyroxene, subcalcic augite, sodic plagioclase, chromite, stained kamacite and troilite.

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa24.0-24.1), orthopyroxene (Fs19.1-20.2Wo1.8-3.2), subcalcic augite (Fs11.3-12.1Wo36.6-32.6).

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L4).
