Northwest Africa 7503 (NWA 7503) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2012 Feb Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5-6) History: Purchased by Matthew Matthew in February 2012 from a Moroccan dealer at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Petrography: Breccia composed of different types of equilibrated L chondrite clasts (some with more evident chondrules than others). Olivine, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, sodic plagioclase, chromite, altered kamacite and troilite. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa25.1-25.3), orthopyroxene (Fs20.4-21.1Wo1.4), clinopyroxene (Fs6.7-7.8Wo45.6-45.2). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5-6). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
