Northwest Africa 7589 (NWA 7589) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2012 Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CV3) Petrography: The brownish meteorite is composed of 1-mm-sized chondrules, CAIs, and olivine amoeboids set into a black matrix; rare CAIs up to 1 cm sized are present.
