Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Small (0.1-0.4 mm), well-formed chondrules plus sparse mineral fragments and fine grained, amoeboid CAI occur in a fine-grained matrix containing stained kamacite. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa0.7-40.4, N = 9; Cr2O3 in ferroan examples is 0.06-0.11 wt.%, mean 0.08 wt.%, s.d. 0.02 wt.%, N = 7), orthopyroxene (Fs1.0-3.2Wo1.0-1.1), augite (Fs1.2-1.6Wo45.2-48.7). Oxygen isotopes (D. Rumble, CIW): analyses of acid-washed subsamples gave, respectively δ17O = -7.85, -6.71; δ18O = -4.43, -3.43; Δ17O = -5.515, -4.913 per mil. Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CO3). Specimens: 20.1 g and one polished thin section are at UWB. The remainder is held by Aaronson. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
