Macroscopic Description - Cecilia Satterwhite
30% of the rough textured exterior has pitted, black fractured fusion crust. Exposed areas without fusion crust are gray in color with light and weathered inclusions. The coarse grained, gray interior has numerous light, dark and weathered inclusions. Some oxidation is present.
Thin Section Description (,2) - Cari Corrigan and Linda Welzenbach
The section shows a groundmass of comminuted pyroxene and plagioclase (up to 0.5 mm) with fine- to coarse-grained basaltic and diogenitic clasts ranging up to 5 mm. Pyroxene compositions range from Fs20-56Wo1-45. Fe/Mn is 27-32. The meteorite is a howardite.
