Writeuphelp
Writeup from MB 103:

Northwest Africa 8273 (NWA 8273)

Morocco

Purchased: Dec 2013

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL5)

Classification: Although the sample has lower Fs than one would expect for LL, the rock has olivine well within the LL range, and the mean chondrule diameter is about 600 μm, putting it in the LL range and outside the range of L chondrule sizes. Lack of polysynthetically twinned low-Ca pyroxene grains in chondrules and relatively small plagiocalse grains is consistent with petrologic type 5.
