Dhofar 1836 (Dho 1836) 18°43.012’N, 54°23.44’E Zufar, Oman Found: Jan 2011 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L4) Petrography: Although silicate compositional variation is consistent with petrologic type 5, petrologic type 4 is indicated by petrography, including well-defined chondrules, devitrified glass, and paucity of feldspar. Geochemistry: Silicate compositions obtained following the Dodd et al. (1967) method. Specimens: 33.5 g type specimen, including thin section, on deposit at UAb.
