Writeup from MB 103:
Northwest Africa 8346 (NWA 8346) Morocco Purchased: June 2010 Classification: Iron meteorite (IAB-sLL) Petrography: Coarse medium octahedrite, bandwidth 1.31±0.23 mm (n=38). Numerous tiny schreibersite crystals, graphite, rare troilite. X-ray fluorescence maps were used to characterize mineralogy/structure. Geochemistry: composition by ICPMS (K. Tachikawa, CEREGE): 4.80 mg/g Co, 84.3 mg/g Ni, 13 µg/g Cr, 175 μg/g Cu, 57.3 μg/g Ga, 175 μg/g Ge,16.6 μg/g As, 1.9 μg/g Ir, 4.3 μg/g Pt, 1.2 μg/g Au.
