Writeup from MB 103:
Northwest Africa 8347 (NWA 8347) Morocco Purchased: June 2010 Classification: Iron meteorite (IAB-sLL) Petrography: Coarse octahedrite, bandwidth 1.64±0.25 mm (n=28) . Numerous tiny schreibersite crystal, rare troilite. X-ray fluorescence maps were used to characterize mineralogy/structure. Geochemistry: Composition by ICPMS (K. Tachikawa, CEREGE): 4.38 mg/g Co, 79.9 mg/g Ni, 6.8 μg/g Cr, 186 μg/g Cu, 76.4 μg/g Ga, 257 μg/g Ge,15 μg/g As, 2.3 μg/g Ir, 5.3 μg/g Pt, 1.5 μg/g Au. Classification: IAB-sLL | ||||||||||||||||||||||
