Found: April 2013

Classification: Primitive achondrite (Acapulcoite)

Physical characteristics: A single stone with well-preserved fusion crust.

Petrography: The specimen is recrystallized into homogeneous polygonal and subhedral grains with a grain size of 30-400 μm. Major phases include olivine, pyroxene and plagioclase.

Geochemistry: Plagioclase, An15.1±0.4Ab80.8±0.6 (An14.4-15.8Ab80.2-82.0, n=8); olivine, 10.8±0.2 (Fa10.3-11.2, FeO/MnO = 16.7-21, n=10); orthopyroxene Fs10.2±0.3Wo1.5±0.3 (Fs9.7-10.6Wo1.0-1.9, FeO/MnO = 11.5-12.6, n=9); diopside Fs4.4±0.3Wo44.8±0.6 (Fs3.8-4.7Wo44.2-46.2, FeO/MnO = 7.5-9.7, n=12).
