Northwest Africa 10083 (NWA 10083)

Northwest Africa

Purchased: 2014-Aug

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6)

History: Purchased by Alexandre Debienne in August 2014 from a dealer in Agadir, Morocco.

Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Largely recrystallized with rare chondrule remnants.

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa24.5-24.8, N = 2), orthopyroxene (Fs21.1-21.2Wo1.9-1.8, N = 2), clinopyroxene (Fs7.2-9.3Wo444.8-44.1, N = 2).

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6).

Specimens: 21.4 g including one polished thin section at PSF; main mass with Mr. A. Debienne.
