Writeup from MB 104:

Northwest Africa 10315 (NWA 10315)

Morocco

Purchased: Feb 2015

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CO3)

Classification: The sample consists of about 60 vol% well-defined chondrule and chondrule fragments and inclusions (aggregates) and about 30-40 vol% of matrix and opaques. The sample has small chondrules and olivine and pyroxene are unequilibrated. All these observations are consistent with a CO3 classification. The olivines show undulatory extinction indicating shock stage S2. The sample is heavily weathered.
