Purchased: 2015 May

Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, monomict)

History: Purchased by Fabien Kuntz in May 2015 from a dealer in Erfoud, Morocco.

Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Fresh fragmental breccia containing some ophitic eucrite clasts (one large clast measures 1.7 cm × 1.5 cm), but mostly composed of related mineral fragments (predominantly calcic plagioclase and exsolved pigeonite). Accessory minerals include silica polymorph, Ti-chromite, ilmenite, troilite and zircon.

Geochemistry: Low-Ca pyroxene host (Fs_55.3Wo_6.6, FeO/MnO = 32, N = 1), augite exsolution lamella (Fs_29.3Wo_39.6, FeO/MnO = 32, N = 1), augite host (Fs_29.2Wo_40.0, FeO/MnO = 29, N = 1), low-Ca pyroxene exsolution lamella (Fs_57.3Wo_6.2, FeO/MnO = 29, N = 1), pigeonite (Fs_55.9Wo_7.4, FeO/MnO = 31, N = 1), augite (Fs_33.6Wo_37.6, FeO/MnO = 38, N = 1).

Classification: Eucrite (monomict breccia).

Specimens: 17.17 g including one polished thin section at PSF; remainder with Kuntz.
