Northwest Africa 10680 (NWA 10680) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2005 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6) History: Purchased by an anonymous collector from a dealer at the Munich Show in 2005 and subsequently donated to PSF. Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS) Mostly recrystallized with rare relict chondrules and altered metal. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa25.8-26.6, N = 3), orthopyroxene (Fs20.9-21.4Wo2.3-2.7, N = 3), clinopyroxene (Fs8.6-11.2Wo45.2-43.0, N = 2). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6). Specimens: The entire specimen including one polished thin section is at PSF. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
