Thiel Mountains 08004 (TIL 08004) 85º23.39’S, 87º07.69’W Antarctica, Antarctica Find: 21 Dec 2008 Classification: Pallasite Petrography: The meteorite is composed of approximately equal proportion of Fe-Ni metal and coarse olivine (~2 mm to ~1 cm). Geochemistry: Olivine composition is Fa12.4±0.1. Classification: Prob. paired with TIL 07016 and Thiel Mountains, based on their recovery sites and olivine compositions (Fa12.6±0.2 in TIL 07016 and Fa~13 in Thiel Mountains) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
