Northwest Africa 11291 (NWA 11291) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2015 Aug Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3) Physical characteristics: Stone has no fusion crust, brown color. Petrography: Numerous chondrules, up to 4 mm in diameter. Metal is partially oxidized. Metal abundance ~2 vol%. Geochemistry: Olivine 21.6±8.4 (N=10), FeO/MnO (molar) 54.1±19.1 (N=10), Pyroxene Fs21.5±9.4Wo3.3±3.7 (N=10). Classification: LL3 Specimens: 46.7 g including a thin section and probe mount at UWO.
