Agee, UNM) Microprobe examination of a polished mount shows numerous porphyritic chondrules, most with mesostasis or glass, opaque matrix. Apparent mean chondrule diameter 660±280 μm, n=16. Geochemistry: (C. Agee and B. Ha, UNM) All olivine Fa10.9±9.3, Cr2O3=0.11±0.06 (wt%), n=12; Ferroan olivine Fa15.7±7.4, Cr2O3=0.08±0.08 (wt%), n=8; low-Ca pyroxene Fs9.6±6.0Wo0.7±0.7, n=6. Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3), estimated subtype ~3.2-3.3 based on mean values of Fa and Fs and 1-sigma standard deviation, and on the ferroan olivine mean value of Cr2O3 and 1-sigma standard deviation (Grossman and Brearley, 2005). Specimens: 20.6 g including a probe mount on deposit at UNM, Morten Bilet holds the main mass. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
