Northwest Africa 11920 (NWA 11920) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2018 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H5, melt breccia) History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Zagora, Morocco. Physical characteristics: Two small black individuals lacking any fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite is strongly brecciated and composed of recrystallized shock melt regions, relict mineral fragments and some preserved clasts (type 5). No pyroxene has been found in the thin section studied. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
