Northwest Africa 12314 (NWA 12314) Morocco Purchased: 2018 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~6) History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Ziyao Wang from Said Yousfi in Errachidia, Morocco, in Oct. 2018. Physical characteristics: 190 g yellow elongated stone with some fusion crust. Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) Gray, strongly recrystallized matrix, with poorly developed chondrules, and much homogenously distributed, irregular metal and sulfide. Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 5.49 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~6, W1) Specimens: 22.7 g on deposit at Kiel, Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 21 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
