Northwest Africa 12463 (NWA 12463) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2018 March Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3) Petrography: Chondrite with packed and well delineated chondrules with average apparent diameter 1060±600 μm (n=24). Main opaques are metal, troilite, and their terrestrial weathering products. Chondrule mesostasis is devitrified. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa15.7±7.7, Fa PMD 41%, range Fa5.3-28.5, Cr2O3 0.07±0.10 wt% (n=12).Orthopyroxene Fs11.5±6.3Wo0.9±1.1 (n=7). Magnetic susceptibility log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.16.
