Loulan Yizhi 019 ~40°26’N, ~89°36’E Xinjiang, China Find: Nov 2018 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~5) History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Ziyao Wang from Tailu Zhao (Shanshan County, Xinjiang) in Shanshan/Xinjiang in 2018. This meteorite was discovered by Tailu Zhao and Dongfang Dengi n Nov 2018. Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) Small black Flat shape stone of 18.3 g with fusion crust Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) brown, recrystallized matrix, with defined gray chondrules (0.2-0.7 mm, av. 0.5 mm), and completely oxidized metal and sulfide. Vugs and cracks are mostly filled with iron-hydroxides and sulfates. Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.53 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~5, W5) Specimens: 3.8 g on deposit at Kiel, Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 3 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
