Find: 2017 May 12

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CO3)

History: The stone was collected by Zijian Wang and Yuxian Zhao during a meteorite seearch campaign in the Kumtag desert south of Shanshan County, Xinjiang, China.

Physical characteristics: One individual sample, 3100 g, spherical shape, covered with brown fusion crust.

Petrography: Meteorite consists of fine-grained matrix material, chondrules of Type I and II, AOAs, and refractory inclusions. Average diameter of chondrules is 0.16 mm. Chondrules consist of olivine, pyroxene, and plagioclase mesostasis. The minor phase are spinel, melilite, sulfides, kamacite, taenite, anorthite, perovskite and hibonite

Geochemistry: Olivine Fa26.9±31.6 (N=25),CaO 0.36±0.30 wt%, MnO 0.38±0.21 wt%; low-Ca pyroxene Fs52.0±5.4Wo2.2±2.1 (N=14), pyroxene Fs10.6±10.7Wo38.3±10.4.
