Northwest Africa 12528 (NWA 12528) Morocco Purchased: 2015 Classification: Ureilite History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Ziyao Wang from Aras Jonika in 2015, who obtained it in Agadir, Morocco Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) one brown stone of 43 g, without fusion crust. Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) olivine (~4 mm) and pyroxene (~2 mm) grains with tiny metal inclusions and intgerstitial graphite, diamond, and metal. Geochemistry: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart, P. Appel and B. Mader, Kiel) Olivine Fa20.2±1.2 (n=21); pigeonite En74Fs17Wo9 (n=10). Kamacite Ni=4.4, Co=0.4 (n=2) (all wt-%). Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.45 Classification: Ureilite Specimens: 8.62 g on deposit at Kiel, Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 6 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
