Purchased: 2018 March

Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R3)

Physical characteristics: Dark stone. Cut surface reveals dark interior with small chondrules.

Petrography: Brecciated chondrite with small chondrules set in abundant matrix. Sulfides are the dominant opaque mineral. Equilibrated clasts are present and have plagioclase size below 50 µm .

Geochemistry: Fa_29.6±9.6, Fa PMD=30%, NiO 0.62±0.42 wt%, Cr₂O₃ 0.13±0.05 wt% (n=5). Type 5 clasts Fa_37.2(n=2).

Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R3-5)

Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Kuntz.
