Mauritania

Purchased: 2019 Jan

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H3)

History: Purchased in Zagora in January 2019

Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with packed, well-delineated chondrules, with average apparent diameter 380 μm (n=19). Opaque minerals are Fe,Ni metal and Fes.

Geochemistry: Olivine Fa_17.6±8.0, range Fa_0.8-25.7, Fa PMD 34% (n=11), Cr₂O₃ in ferroan olivine 0.11±0.21 (n=9). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs_18.2±1.2Wo_2.0±0.8(n=6).

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H3). H group from magnetic susceptibility and chondrule size.

Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE. Main mass with Kuntz.
