Northwest Africa 12332 (NWA 12332) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: March 2018 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3) Physical characteristics: Eleven stones from 2 to 107 g. Petrography: Chondrite with well defined chondrules set in a fine grain matrix. Matrix 28 vol% from point counting (n=336). Average apparent chondrule size 710±420 μm (n=40). Strong weathering. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa10.3±6.1, PMD=51%, range Fa1.9-21.4, Cr2O3=0.26±0.15wt%, n=10. Low-ca pyroxene Fs10.3±4.9Wo1.86±2.0, range Fs8.9-21.7Wo0.4-5.3 (n=4) Classification: Ordinary chondrite, LL3.
