Dunlike 001 39°39’08.02"N, 89°34’07.63"E Xinjiang, China Find: Nov 2018 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~5) History: (Ziyao Wang) Purchased by Ziyao Wang from Tailu Zhao (Shanshan County, Xinjiang) in Shanshan (Xinjiang) in 2018. This meteorite was discovered in the Hongliugou, Haitou area, in Nov. 2018. Physical characteristics: brown stone of 34.4 g without fusion crust Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) brown, recrystallized matrix, with defined gray chondrules (0.2-1 mm, av. 0.6 mm), and completely oxidized metal and sulfide. Vugs and cracks are mostly filled with iron-hydroxides and sulfates. Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.65 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~5, W5) Specimens: 7.5 g on deposit at Kiel, Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 5 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
