Wubao 001 42°05’38.94"N, 92°12’26.68"E Xinjiang, China Find: 2017 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~4) History: (Ziyao Wang) Discovered by Wentao Yang (Urumqi) in the desert near Dahaidao (Xinjiang Province) in 2017 Physical characteristics: 905 g nearly square stone with many cracks Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) assemblage of gray to light-brown, rounded rock fragments up to 5 cm, rimmed by gray-black veins. Well recognizable chondrules (0.2-1 mm, av. 0.5 mm) and irregular metal and sulfide inclusions Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 5.06 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~4, W2) Specimens: 21.5 g on deposit at Kiel, Wentao Yang and Ziyao Wang holds the main mass, and 86 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
