Northwest Africa 12745 (NWA 12745)

(Northwest Africa)

Purchased: 2019

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H6, melt breccia)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Erfoud, Morocco.

Physical characteristics: Four Dark brownish fragments without fusion crust.

Petrography: Chondritic melt rock with few chondritic regions of type H6 (plagioclase grain size about 60 μm) and abundant melt rock. No metal or sulfide veins are observed.
